Uses
2-Methyl-3-[(2S)-2-pyrrolidinylmethoxy]-pyridine Dihydrochloride is a selective neuronal nicotinic receptor (NNR) modulator and a neuroprotective agent that has therapeutic potential for treating cognitive disorders. 2-Methyl-3-[(2S)-2-pyrrolidinylmethoxy]-pyridine Dihydrochloride is selective for the neuronal nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs) subtype, which modulate the release of neurotransmitters (acetylcholine and dopamine).

Pozanicline (ABT-089; 0.3 mg/kg and 0.6 mg/kg) reverses nicotine withdrawal-induced deficits in contextual fear conditioning[3].
