Elsulfavirine can be used to repurpose FDA approved drugs for identifying potential SARS-CoV-2 main protease. It can also be used as a non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor for HIV-1 treatment, as well as a combination drug for viral infection therapy.
