Diethylene Glycol Dimethanesulfonate Usage And Synthesis

Description

Ms-PEG3-Ms are PEG linkers with two mesyl groups. The mesyl groups are good leaving groups and can also be used as protecting groups for primary alcohols. They can be deprotected in the presence of sodium amalgam. The hydrophilic PEG linker increases the water solubility of the compound in aqueous media.

White Solid

Uses

Intermediate in the production of alkylating agents
