Synthesis
A method for preparing solid crystals of dichlorotetraamminepalladium. Steps include: 1) Dissolving palladium flakes or powder with aqua regia. 2) Removing nitrate by heating with hydrochloric acid. 3) Slowly adding ammonia for complexation to pH=8, then filtering out impurities. 4) Acidifying with hydrochloric acid to pH=1 to obtain dichlorodiamminepalladium (palladium yellow), followed by washing. 5) Dissolving palladium yellow with ammonia. 6) Adding anhydrous ethanol for dehydration crystallization, then filtering and washing the solid. 7) Vacuum drying yields the solid crystalline salt of dichlorotetraamminepalladium with a 93% yield.
