White powder. Odorless or slightly odorous, with peculiar smell. soluble in water. Insoluble in ethanol and ether.
Uses
L-Lysine-L-aspartate is mainly used in food as a nutritional fortifier.
Synthesis
L-Lysine-L-aspartate is obtained from free L-lysine from L-lysine hydrochloride, neutralized by adding equal mol of L-aspartic acid, concentrated and crystallized.
