INDOLAROME Usage And Synthesis
Chemical Properties
Indoflor forms crystals (mp 35–36°C) with an indole-like odor. It is prepared by a Prins reaction fromindene and formaldehyde in the presence of dilute sulfuric acid . It is used in perfumes for soaps and detergents.
