DELPHINIDIN-3-GLUCOSIDE Usage And Synthesis

Uses

Myrtillin is a natural anthocyanin found in plants. It is the 3-glucoside of delphinidin. Anthocyanins, including myrtillin, are potent antioxidants.

Uses

A metabolite of Delphinidin. A constituent of blue honeysuckle as to novel source for phenolic antioxidants. Antimicrobial.

ChEBI: Delphinidin-3-glucoside is an anthocyanidin glycoside.

in vivo

Delphinidin 3-glucoside chloride (40 mg/kg/day, i.g. for 25 days) inhibits tumor growth in MDA-MB-231-Luc-GFP xenografted athymic BALB/c mice [4]. Delphinidin 3-glucoside chloride (50 μM, i.v.) inhibits thrombus growth in FeCl3 induced mesenteric arteriole injury in C57BL/6 mice[6].

Dosage:40 mg/kg/day
Administration:i.g., for 25 days
Result:Inhibited tumor growth.
