Uses

Lithium Lactate has shown to reduce the uptake of iodine-125 by rat thyroid gland.

Uses

Lithium lactate may be employed in the following studies:

• As an electron spin resonance (ESR) dosimeter material.
• As lactic acid standard in the determination of lactic acid.
• As lactic acid standard in the determination of lactic acid with muscle lactic dehydrogenase by an enzymatic method.

Safety Profile

Moderately toxic by ingestion and subcutaneous routes. When heated to decomposition it emits acrid smoke and irritating fumes. See also LITHIUM COMPOUNDS.
