Uses

Zeatin belongs to the family of plant-growth hormones called cytokinins and it can be used for agricultural use as agrochemicals for increasing crop yields and regulate various aspects of plant growth and development.

Biological Activity

Zeatin promotes the growth of lateral buds and stimulates cell division (lateral dominance), callus initiation, and seed germination. Zeatin is used with Murashige and Skoog and other media. Zeatin promotes multiple shoot generation from internodes and high-frequency thick-spread roots.
