Uses
ISOPROPOXYTRIMETHYLSILANE can be used in the synthesis of organosilicon compounds and also as a hydrophobic agent.

Synthesis
Isopropoxytrimethylsilane can be prepared from propanol, the specific method is as follows: heating system with a water bath, in the reaction vessel equipped with mechanical stirring, drop-addition device, tail gas absorption device, a strong condensation reflux device to add 1600g of hexamethyldisilazane and 40g of 731-type strong acidic styrene-based cationic resins, and then pass through nitrogen, warming to 55 C, drop-addition of 1300 g of propanol, the ammonia gas generated into the Tail gas absorption device, in the whole process of the reaction system for the micro-positive pressure, drop after the completion of the reaction at 50 ~ 60 for 5 hours, hexamethyldisilazane conversion rate of 100%, a small amount of propanol residue, the resin filtered out, the reaction solution in the product content is higher than 97%, can be used directly as a finished product, isopropoxytrimethylsilane product is 2,550 g. Yield of 88%. The process is simple, the conversion rate is high, the selectivity is good, the yield is high, and the final reaction liquid has high purity.
