Chemical Properties

3-(4-Methoxyphenoxy)propylamine is a solid at room temperature and pressure, and has a certain basicity which can be combined with hydrochloric acid to form the corresponding organic amine hydrochloride.3-(4-Methoxyphenoxy)propylamine's chemical transformation property mainly focuses on the reaction of the amino group in its structure, which can be nucleophilic substitution with common electrophilic reagents such as benzyl bromide compounds under alkaline conditions, and can also be cross-coupled with aryl halide compounds to obtain N-arylated derivatives under the catalytic effect of transition metals. It can also cross-couple with aryl halide compounds under transition metal catalysis to obtain N-arylated derivatives. It is worth noting that the substance is sensitive to oxidizing agents due to the presence of a lone pair of electrons on the active amino unit.
