Decaethylene glycol Usage And Synthesis

Description

PEG11 is a polymer consisting of 11 ethylene glycol subunits and two terminal hydroxyl groups. The hydroxyl groups can react to further derivatize the compound. The hydrophilic PEG linkers increase the water solubility of the compound under aqueous environments. The water solubility properties of the PEG chain are enhanced with longer chains.

Decaethylene Glycol can be used as a corrosion inhibitor of aluminum surfaces.

PROTACs exploit the intracellular ubiquitin-proteasome system to selectively degrade target proteins.
