Preparation
Preparation by reaction of ethylene chlorohydrin (2-chloroethanol) with resbenzophenone,
? in the presence of sodium hydroxide, in boiling water for 6 h (40%) or in water at 70° for 18 h (91%);
? in the presence of sodium carbonate in refluxing dilute ethanol for 16 h (58%).
