Uses

N-(Ethoxycarbonyl)-N-(ethoxycarbonylethyl)glycine ethyl ester can be used for an intermediate of the hydrobromate of pumpkin seed.

Synthesis

Addition of glycine and acrylonitrile to generate N-cyanoethylglycine, which is then esterified with ethanol under acid catalysis to obtain N-(ethoxycarbonylethyl)glycine ethyl ester hydrochloride, which is combined with ethyl chloroformate .N-(Ethoxycarbonyl)-N-(ethoxycarbonylethyl)glycine ethyl ester is obtained by condensation with the participation of sodium carbonate.
