yellowish brown, soft granular mass; obtained from Bi2O3, oleic acid, and acetic anhydride; used in catalysts for manufacturing aldehydes and alcohols by oxo process [MER06] [HAW93]
Uses
In catalysts for manufacture of aldehydes and alcohols by the oxo process: GB 907027 (1962 to Esso); Aldridge, Cull, DE 1153006 (1963 to Esso), C.A. 60, 2763 (1964).
