General Description

This compound has benign qualities and is biodegradable, water miscible, and functions as a versatile solvent for CA membrane preparation. This is also used as an intermediate for the production of other chemicals, polymers, and derivatives. Thus this product has been enhanced for Safer solvents and auxiliaries.

Synthesis

L-lactic acid was used as the reaction material to complete the methyl esterification preparation by column reaction to obtain  L-lactic acid methyl ester.

Firstly, the dried D61 strong acidic resin was determined as the methyl esterification catalyst;

Secondly, the L-lactic acid coarsely extracted from M. miltiorrhiza after fermentation was subjected to continuous methyl esterification reaction by using a column reaction device loaded with a macroporous strong acidic cation exchange resin.
