ROSIRIDIN Usage And Synthesis

Chemical Properties

Colorless liquid, soluble in organic solvents such as methanol, ethanol, and DMSO, derived from Rhodiola rosea.

Uses

Rosiridin is a useful research chemical that shows noncompetitive inhibition against Flavobacterium PEP. Rosiridin has neuroprotective potential, protecting neurons from beta-amyloid toxicity based on antiapoptoptodic and antioxidative activity.

Biological Activity

Rosiridin inhibits MAO A and MAO B with potential beneficial effect in depression and senile dementia. It shows an inhibition of 83.8% against MAO B at 10 μM (pIC50=5.38).
