Growth hormone releasing hexapeptide acetate (GHRP-6 (acetate)) is a synthetic growth hormone (GH) secretagogue and an agonist of the GH secretagogue receptor (GHS-R) which is also known as the ghrelin receptor. GHRP-6 (acetate) can be used to study the functions of growth hormone-releasing hormones, including their activation of receptors, interactions with other proteins, and effects on ion channels and ligands. This peptide is also used as a protein kinase inhibitor in cell culture research.
