4-Fluorophenoxyacetic acid Usage And Synthesis
Chemical Properties
white to light beige crystalline powder
Uses
4-Fluorophenoxyacetic acid (4FPA) induces parthenocarpy. 4-Fluorophenoxyacetic acid (4FPA) protects cereals from piercing-sucking insects and thereby increases rice yield in the field[1][2].
Purification Methods
Crystallise the acid from EtOH or H2O. [Hayes & Branch J Am Chem Soc 65 1555 1943, Beilstein 6 III 971, 6 IV 776.]
