Sucrose benzoate Usage And Synthesis
Description
Sucrose benzoate is used as a synthetic chemical raw material, coating and cosmetic raw material, and as a high-performance rate-modifying additive for high-performance liquid crystal display film optical materials, holographic photosensitive materials, electronic image recording originals, as well as ribbons for thermal transfer and magnetic thermal transfer, electrostatic spraying toner and thermal printing inks.

Application
Sucrose benzoate is a common raw material in chemical production. It can be used as a plasticizer for solid coatings, thermosetting powder coatings and thermal printing toners, and can also be used as a pigment carrier for liquid inks.
Synthesis
In a 250 ml conical flask, add 40.0 g (116.8 mmol) of sucrose, 60 ml of water, 48% sodium hydroxide and 20 g of aqueous sodium hydroxide solution. 20g of aqueous sodium hydroxide solution, and dissolve with stirring at 35~40?? to obtain a light yellow transparent aqueous solution of sodium sucrose alcohol, and transfer it to a constant-pressure dropping funnel for use.
