Chemical Properties
White powder, soluble in organic solvents such as methanol, ethanol, and DMSO, derived from the root bark of Anemarrhena asphodeloides.
Uses
Anemarsaponin E is an amyloid β (Aβ) lowering modulators of amyloid precursor protein processing for the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease (AD). Isolated from the rhizomes of Anemarrhena asphodeloides which has an effect on superoxide generation.
