Chemical Properties

Chromophenol AS-LC is a light gray powder, melting point 188-189°C. It is insoluble in water and sodium carbonate solution. Insoluble in water and sodium carbonate solution, soluble in pyridine. Yellow solution in sulfuric acid with green fluorescence. In sodium hydroxide solution is yellow.

Uses

NaphtholaS-LC can be used for aqueous inkjet set and inkjet printing.

Preparation

Naphthol AS-LC is synthesized by 4-Chloro-2,5-dimethoxybenzenamine and 3-Hydroxy-2-naphthoic acid condensation.

Properties and Applications

Naphthol AS-LC is a light gray powder, melting point for 188 ~ 189 ℃. Insoluble in water solution and sodium carbonate, soluble in pyridine. In the yellow solution for sulfuric acid, and a green fluorescent; In sodium hydroxide solution for yellow solution. Naphthol AS-LC is mainly used for cotton fabrics, viscose, silk, polyamide fiber and polyester dyeing, general is not used for printing, dyeing cotton yarn less application.
