Sodium lauroyl glutamate (SLG) is a mild cleansing agent often used in rinse-off skin care products. It can appear in cosmetics and hair care in amounts ranging from 0.003% all the way to 40%.

Uses

sodium lauroyl glutamate is a surfactant with some moisturizing capacities, it can be derived from vegetal raw materials, and therefore may often be found in “natural” or plant-based cosmetics.
