Biological Activity

Np-trans-Coumaroyltyramine, a cinnamoylphenethyl amide isolated from Polygonum, acts as an acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibitor with IC50 of 122 μM. Np-trans-Coumaroyltyramine has anti-trypanosome activity with IC50 of 13.3 μM against T. brucei rhodesiense.
