CYCLOHEXYL VINYL ETHER Usage And Synthesis
Uses
Vinyl cyclohexyl ether (CVE) is a colorless, transparent liquid at room temperature with a strong characteristic odor. It is immiscible with water but miscible with alcohols and ethers. Its structural formula contains a double bond and a stable six-membered ring. It is a novel polymeric monomer with excellent properties and is commonly used in fluoropolymers, unsaturated polyesters, superabsorbent resins, and UV-cured coatings. It is mainly used to reduce the crystallinity of fluoropolymers, imparting rigidity and transparency, thus resulting in better performance and a wider range of applications.

Synthesis
A method of synthesizing Cyclohexyl vinyl ether, characterized in that the raw materials include: a mixture of acetylene gas and nitrogen, cyclohexanol, and KOH solution, and under the conditions of the synthesis tower at a temperature of 150~180??C and a pressure of 0. 18~0. 45 MPa, the cyclohexanol and KOH solution are sprayed downwardly from the top of the synthesis tower, and a mixture of acetylene gas and nitrogen is passed through from the bottom of the tower. The mixture of acetylene gas and nitrogen gas is passed in from the bottom of the synthesis tower, so that the mixture reacts with the cyclohexanol and KOH solution in the reverse direction to form vinyl cyclohexyl ether, and the generated vinyl cyclohexyl ether and the un-reacted mixture of gases are exported from the top of the tower, and the vinyl cyclohexyl ether is obtained after conventional condensation, and the KOH solution is recycled.
