MORPHINE-D3 Usage And Synthesis

Description

Morphine-d3 (CRM) (Item No. 24514) is an analytical reference standard intended for use as an internal standard for the quantification of morphine (Item Nos. 15464 | ISO60147) by GC- or LC-MS. Morphine is categorized as an opioid. It is a natural phenanthrene commonly used for its analgesic properties but has a high potential for addiction. Morphine is regulated as a Schedule II compound in the United States. Morphine-d3 (CRM) (Item No. 24514) is provided as a DEA exempt preparation. This product is intended for research and forensic applications.

Chemical Properties

White Solid

Uses

Labelled Morphine (M652290). Principal alkaloid of opium. This is a controlled substance (opiate). Analgesic (narcotic).

Uses

Morphine-d3, is the labeled analogue of Morphine (M652290), the principal alkaloid of opium. This is a controlled substance (opiate). Analgesic (narcotic).

General Description

This stable-labeled internal standard is suitable for quantiation of morphine levels in urine, serum, or plasma by LC/MS or GC/MS for urine drug testing, pain prescription monitoring, clinical toxicology, forensic analysis, or isotope dilution methods. Morphine is a very potent opiate analgesic drug used to relieve both acute and chronic severe pain. Sold under trade names including MS Contin?, Kadian?, Oramorph?, and Roxanol, morphine is also a commonly abused recreational drug due to its widespread availability and high potential for addiction.
