2,6-Difluoro-4-iodoaniline is an amine derivative and can be used as an organic intermediate.

The general procedure for the synthesis of 2,6-difluoro-4-iodoaniline from 2,6-difluoroaniline is as follows: 2,6-difluoroaniline (3.0 g, 22.56 mmol) was dissolved in acetic acid (10 mL). To this solution iodine monochloride (3.581 g, 22.56 mmol) was added. The reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 15 minutes. After completion of the reaction, the solvent was removed by evaporation and the residue was neutralized with aqueous sodium carbonate. Subsequently, the aqueous phase was extracted with dichloromethane. The organic phases were combined, dried with anhydrous magnesium sulfate, filtered and the solvent evaporated to afford the target product 2,6-difluoro-4-iodoaniline in 95% yield.
