Industrial product melting point is 32 ℃; boiling point 110 ℃ (15mmHg), 129 ~ 130 ℃ ( 9mmHg); relative density 1.1642 (25 ℃), 1.1637 (35 ℃), solubility in water (35 ℃) 1.32g/100mL, soluble in methanol, ethanol, benzene, xylene and other organic solvents, soluble in esters.
Uses
Dimethyl carbate (DMC) is a green and multi-functional solvent that can be used as a solvent in lithium-ion batteries. Methylating agents in organic synthesis; It is also used in the production of polycarbonate, lubricants, polyurethane, cleaning and degreasing solvents, building materials such as paints and adhesives, fuel additives, and biodiesel production, etc. In addition, it can also be used as an insect repellant.
