Description

Dehydroxylactone is a substance extracted from the root of the Asteraceae genus Asteraceae, which has smooth muscle relaxation and antispasmodic effects. The main components of woody fragrance contain volatile oil and inulin. The volatile oil contains dehydroxylactone and so on.

Uses

(Rac)-Dehydrocostus Lactone ((Rac)-Epiligulyl oxide) is a natural product with antiparasitic activity. (Rac)-Dehydrocostus Lactone can significantly inhibit the growth of Trypanosoma brucei rhodesiense. (Rac)-Dehydrocostus Lactone exhibits a broad spectrum of biological effects, including anti-inflammatory, anticancer, antiviral and antimicrobial activities. (Rac)-Dehydrocostus Lactone also has antifungal, antioxidant, antidiabetic, antiulcer and antihelminthic effects. (Rac)-Dehydrocostus Lactone exhibits different IC(50) values in cytotoxicity tests and has a high selectivity index[1].

Preparation

Solvent extraction method: adding 8 times the volume fraction of 60% ethanol and heating and refluxing for 2 extractions, each extraction for 1 hour. The yield of volatile oil in the soup was the highest after soaking and decocting Muxiang for about 20 min. The amount of extract decoction increased with the prolongation of decoction time.
