Anti-asthmatic; inhibitor (mediator release).

Definition

ChEBI: Quazolast is a member of quinolines and an organochlorine compound.

in vivo

Quazolast (0.2, 1, 5 mg/kg; p.o.) reduces the gastric damage in rats induced by absolute ethanol (0.9 mg/kg)^[1].
Quazolast (3.1, 6.3, 12.5, 25 mg/kg; p.o.) reduces the gastric damage associated with 0.6 N HC1 administration^[1].

Animal Model:	150 g Male Sprague Dawley rat^[1]
Dosage:	0.2, 1, 5 mg/kg
Administration:	P.o.
Result:	Decreased the rat gastric mucosa damage in a dose dependent manner and reduced the gastric ulcer index (68%) at 5 mg/kg in rat induced by absolute ethanol (0.9 mg/kg).
