Hexamethylphosphorous triamide can be widely used in industry, with applications such as being a flame retardant for building materials to a phosphorylating agent in synthetic chemistry. It is a classified carcinogen.

Purification Methods

It may contain more than 1% of phosphoric triamide. The yellow oil is first distilled at atmospheric pressure, then under reduced pressure and stored under N2.
