Uses

2,3,6-Trimethylnaphthalene is used in petroleum and sedimentary organic matter as maturity markers. It is useful in the study on allelopathy of sugar beet root exudates on soybean. It is also useful in catalytic fast pyrolysis of beech wood lignin isolated by different biomass (pre)treatment processes.
