Uses
4-Ter-octylresorcinol can be used as an intermediate in the preparation of chromone-2-one. Chromone-2-one is a tyrosinase inhibitor, suitable for lightening human skin or for the prevention and/or treatment of pigmentation defects such as hyperpigmentation, freckles, age spots, sun spots, and environmentally induced skin aging.
