Light yellow waxy solid, odorless, slightly sweet taste. Soluble in glycerol, benzene, propylene glycol, hot ethanol and cold ethyl acetate, insoluble in cold water, but can be dispersed into emulsion by stirring in hot water.HLB value is 11.3 (hexamer). Rat LD5020g/kg, Adl 0-25mg/kg (FAO/WHO. 1994).

Uses

Triglycerol monostearate, technical grade (CAS# 26855-43-6) is a fatty acid derivative and a useful building block. Triglycerol monostearate has been used in the preparation of a coenzyme Q10 micro emulsion, and is also a modifer used as an antifogging agent.
