Uses
PPI 0903M are used in the phase 2 study of ceftaroline versus standard therapy in treatment of complicated skin and skin structure infections.
Definition
ChEBI: A cephalosporin that is the active metabolite of the prodrug ceftaroline fosamil. Used for the treatment of adults with acute bacterial skin and skin structure infections.
in vivo
AK-599 (20 mg/kg; s.c. three times a day for 2 days) decreases the bacterial cell counts in lungs more than 99.9% in a mouse pneumonia model caused by MRSA[2].
