MEFLUIDIDE Usage And Synthesis

Chemical Properties

White crystalline solid. Some formulations are a dark brown liquid.

Uses

Plant growth regulator and herbicide used in lawns, turf, grassland, industrial areas and areas where grass cutting is difficult such as embankments. Also used to enhance sucrose content in sugarcane.

Uses

Mefluidide is a plant growth regulator that suppresses annual bluegrass seedheads on creeping bentgrass greens. An antiparasitic agent.

Uses

Plant growth regulator; herbicide.

Definition

ChEBI: Mefluidide is a sulfonamide.

Agricultural Uses

Herbicide; plant growth regulator: Not approved for use in EU countries . Mefluidide is used to control ornamental and non-ornamental woody plants, ground cover, hedges, trees, turfgrass and broadleaf weeds. Both the diethanolamine and potassium salts are actively used in the U.S.

Trade name
