Chemical Properties
White crystals. Soluble in water and in alcohol. Deliquescent.
Uses
Making aluminum or potassium thiocyanates, dyeing, photography.
Purification Methods
It is crystallised from water (2.5mL/g) by partial evaporation in a desiccator. It is deliquescent. [Herstein Inorg Synth III 24 1950.]
