Uses

2-(Azetidin-1-yl)ethanol is used to prepare novel proline and morpholine derivatives as inhibitors of 11-β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase type 1 (11-β-hsd-1) for treatment of diabetes and obesity. It is also used in the synthesis of antitumor dibenzonaphthyridine derivatives.
