3-(Triethoxysilyl)propyl methacrylate Usage And Synthesis
Uses
1. This product is suitable for polyethylene and copolymers of various complex shapes and densities; it is suitable for a wide range of processing tolerances, filled composite materials, etc., and has a high operating temperature, excellent resistance to pressure cracking, abrasion resistance, and impact resistance; it can be grafted onto the polymer backbone to modify polyethylene and other polymers, giving their side chains ester groups of this product, which act as active sites for warm water crosslinking. 2. When used with glass fibers, it can effectively improve the mechanical properties (flexural strength, tensile strength, etc.) of glass fiber products and their adhesion to the matrix (various resins, including thermosetting and thermoplastic resins). 3. As a post-additive for inks and coatings, it can give inks and coatings excellent film hardness and gloss; it can also improve the adhesion of optical fiber coatings. 4. As a reinforcing agent and crosslinking accelerator, it is widely used in composite materials, coatings, inks, adhesives, and sealing materials, and can also be used as a resin modifying additive and enzyme immobilizer. 5. As a crosslinking agent, it can be used in silane crosslinked polyethylene cables and pipes; in the wire and cable industry, this coupling agent is used to treat EPDM systems crosslinked with clay-filled peroxides, improving the consumption factor and specific inductance and capacitance. 6. It can copolymerize with vinyl acetate and acrylic or methacrylic acid monomers, which are widely used in coatings, adhesives, and sealants, providing excellent adhesion and durability.
