Chemical Properties
White powder, soluble in organic solvents such as methanol, ethanol, and DMSO, derived from Euphorbia lathyris L., a plant of the Euphorbiaceae family.
Uses
13-Oxyingenol Dodecanoate is a diterpene compound with antinematodal activity. Derivative of Ingenol (I655795), the analogue of Ingenol 3-Angelate (I655800), which has anti-tumor activity when used topically for the treatment of actinic keratosis.
in vivo
13-Oxyingenol-dodecanoate (2.5 mg/kg and 5 mg/kg; ip; every two days for two weeks) significantly inhibites the growth of transplanted tumors in a xenograft model by injecting H460 cells subcutaneously into nude mice[2].
