It can be used to make devices such as light emitting diodes (LEDs) and photodetectors. 2-(3-Bromophenyl)triphenylene has been shown to have low efficiency in fluorescent devices, but it can be stacked with other compounds to increase the efficiency of phosphorescent devices.
