Streptomyces microflavus Usage And Synthesis
Description
Streptomyces microflavus is a bacterium species from the genus of Streptomyces which has been isolated from soil. Streptomyces microflavus produces nemadectin, fattiviracin A1, milbemycin and deoxyuridines. Streptomyces microflavus also produces the ionophore valinomycin. Streptomyces microflavus is also known to cause potato common scab disease in Korea.
Uses
The streptomyces microflavus has strong inhibitory action on crop pathogenic bacteria such as alfalfa downy mildews and the like, and shows good disease resisting effects on alfalfa downy mildew, powdery mildew, tan disease, stemphypium calico, root rot and the like, which indicates that the strain has wide application prospect in the biological control field of alfalfa diseases.
