Uses
Disperse blue 3 is a textile dye of the anthraquinone type. Dye in nylon, acrylic, polyester and acetate; stocking dye.

Disperse Blue 3 is a colloidal dye.
Synthesis
1-Methylamino-4-(2-hydroxyethylamino) anthraquinone is prepared (in admixture with symmetrical and half-reacted exchange products) by replacement of NH2 from 2,3-dihydro-1,4-diaminoanthraquinone with a mixture of methylamine and ethanolamine .
Properties and Applications
Bright blue. Soluble in acetone, ethanol, soluble fiber element and benzene, slightly soluble in carbon tetrachloride, insoluble in special solvent, tao. The strong sulfuric acid for brown, diluted into a dark red. Suitable for vinegar fiber and three vinegar fiber, polyamide, acrylic dyeing and printing.
