TANTALUM (V) IODIDE Usage And Synthesis
Uses
Tantalum iodide, also known as tantalum pentaiodide, is an inorganic compound, a black powder with an orthorhombic crystal structure and a lattice constant a = 0.665 nm. It is one of the least stable tantalum compounds. Tantalum iodide absorbs moisture from air and hydrolyzes to tantalum pentoxide. At high temperatures, it readily decomposes into metallic tantalum and elemental iodine. Its easy sublimation and decomposition properties are utilized to produce high-purity tantalum.
Application
CN201410611060.7 discloses a cemented carbide stamping part, composed of the following materials in parts by weight: 30-40 parts copper hydroxide, 25-35 parts manganese trioxide, 22-26 parts silicon dioxide, 12-16 parts titanium oxide, 12-16 parts chromium trioxide, 10-15 parts nickel hydroxide, 10-15 parts tin dioxide, 10-14 parts iron tetroxide, 8-12 parts cobalt oxide, 8-10 parts molybdenum trioxide, 5-9 parts lithium hydride, 6-8 parts beryllium oxide, 6-8 parts tantalum pentaiodide, and 4-6 parts niobium pentoxide. The beneficial effects of this invention are: the cemented carbide stamping part provided by this invention, by adjusting the composition ratio of the stamping part, can effectively reduce the wrinkle rate and twist rate in die castings, and the quality can be improved by 3-4 times compared with the prior art.
