2-Ethylbutylamine Usage And Synthesis

Chemical Properties

clear colorless to light yellow liquid

Uses

Isohexylamine is used in organic syntheses.

Uses

2-Ethylbutylamine is used in preparation of Amide-substituted Heterocyclic compounds for the treatment of conditions related to the modulation of IL-12, IL-23 and/or IFN-alpha.

Safety Profile

Poison by ingestion. Moderately toxic by skin contact. A skin and severe eye irritant. A very dangerous fire hazard when exposed to heat or flame; can react vigorously with oxidizing materials. Keep away from heat and open flame. To fight fire, use dry chemical, CO2, foam. When heated to decomposition it emits toxic fumes of NOx. See also AMINES.
