Uses
Synthetic beeswax is a fatty substance with physicochemical properties close to those of natural beeswax, obtained by physically melting and mixing fatty acids and alkanes with other components, based on the composition of natural beeswax. It is commonly used as a substitute for natural beeswax and is widely used in personal care products, food, and pharmaceutical excipients.
Definition
The complex reaction product of blended acids and blended alcohols which simulates the composition of natural beeswax. It consists primarily of C18-30-alkyl ester of C16-32 fatty acids, C16-32 fatty acids and C22-34 alkanes.
