Atractylodin Usage And Synthesis
Chemical Properties
Atractylodes is colorless needle crystal, melting point 50.5 ~ 53 ℃.
Uses
Atractylodin has hepatoprotective effects, hypoglycemic effects, anti-inflammatory and anti-tumor effects, antibacterial and antiviral effects, and can be used for content determination/identification/pharmacological experiments.
Definition
ChEBI: Atractylodin is a member of furans.
Pharmacology
Atractylodes is a substance extracted from the dried rhizomes of Atractylodes japonica or Atractylodes japonica. Volatile oil is the main active ingredient in Atractylodes Rhizoma, among which the highest content is Atractylodes Rhizoma, which has pharmacological activities such as lowering blood sugar, diuresis, promoting gastric emptying, anti-inflammatory and anti-tumor.
in vivo
Atractylodin (40 mg/kg intraperitoneally injected for 14 days) can improve the survival rate of mice in a mouse model of colitis induced by sodium dextran sulfate[2].
Atractylodin (20, 40, 80 mg/kg, gavage) alleviates the oxidative stress of HepG2 cells induced by high-fat diet (HFD) and palmitic acid (PA) in mice[3].
| Animal Model: | DSS-Induced Colitis Mouse Model[2] |
| Dosage: | 40 mg/kg |
| Administration: | i.p. |
| Result: | Reduced colitis symptoms and increased survival rate. |
| Animal Model: | NAFLD mice model[3] |
| Dosage: | 20, 40, 80 mg/kg |
| Administration: | i.g. |
| Result: | Reduced the release of ALT, AST, ROS and MDA. Increased the TG, GSH and SOD. |
