Uses
2,2''-Dicarboxydiphenylamine is used as a reagent in the synthesis of conjugates of muramyldipeptide or normuramyldipeptide with hydroxyacridine/acridone derivatives, used for antitumor activity.
Uses
Instead of diphenylamine in reactions with oxidizing agents. 2,2'-iminodibenzoic acid may be used as an oxidation-reduction indicator in strongly acid solutions.
Purification Methods
Crystallise the acid from EtOH. It complexes with Cu2+ , Zn2+ , Cd2+, Co2+ and Ni2+ . [Beilstein 14 H 354, 14 I 545, 14 III 942, 14 IV 1058.]
