Pyrido[3,2-d]pyrimidine-2,4(1H,3H)-dione Usage And Synthesis
Uses
2,4-Dihydroxypyrido[3,2-d]pyrimidine is used as a reagent in the synthesis of diaminoquinazolines as antitubercular agents. 2,4-Dihydroxypyrido[3,2-d]pyrimidine may also be used as a potential histamine H4 receptor antagonist.

(1) 4 g of 3-aminopyridine-2-carboxylic acid (raw material A3) was mixed with 20 g of urea and heated and refluxed at 200°C for 5 h. After the reaction was completed, intermediate B3 was obtained in 27% yield. The reaction equation was as follows:
