Sweroside Usage And Synthesis

Chemical Properties

Soluble in water, methanol, chloroform, DMSO and other solvents, but insoluble in petroleum ether. Derived from Swertia cincta Burk, Gentianaceae

Uses

(-)-Sweroside is an active ingredient of iridoid glycoside isolated from the flower buds of Lonicera japonica THUNB. (-)-Sweroside has shown anti-inflammatory and analgesic activities.
